Arlington, VA – December 16, 2021 – This January, the PBS MASTERPIECE Prime Video Channel is bringing drama fans a variety of new and exciting series, including the thrilling new adaptation of Jules Verne’s classic novel Around the World in Eighty Days. In this new limited series from MASTERPIECE, viewers join adventurer Phileas Fogg played by Emmy® Award-winner David Tennant (“Doctor Who,” “Broadchurch”) as he sets out on a quest to travel around the world. In addition, the new Walter Presents program “The Wall: Chateau Murders” follows the story of two investigators coming together to solve the many murders and assaults in Quebec City. Also coming to the channel is the new season of the murder mystery series “Vienna Blood” where a Sigmund Freud student and an Austrian detective team up to solve some of the most mysterious and deadly cases in the early 1900s.

As a man who has spent the last twenty years in a comfortable leather armchair at The Reform Club, he will need all the resilience he can muster and of course would be nowhere without the assistance of a quick-witted Frenchman, Passepartout played by Ibrahim Koma (“As Far as I Can Walk”). Joining them on the road will be the Daily Telegraph journalist played by Leonie Benesch (“Babylon Berlin”) who came up with the whole crazy idea in the first place.

The new season of “Vienna Blood” sees the return of the awkward but brilliant relationship between young Max Liebermann, played by Matthew Beard (“The Imitation Game”), and troubled cop Oskar Rheinhardt, played by Juergen Maurer (“Vorstadtweiber”). Season 2 opens with the suicide of Max’s patient, the Hungarian Countess, but was it suicide or was foul play to blame? This crime sets the tone for the rest of the cases the duo will need to solve, including one where Oskar receives anonymous messages about a homicide and the killing of a monk, leaving Max and Oskar trying to understand the power of belief.

Will Céline be able to separate her personal life from her investigation?
